Meet the founder, Sarah
After a childhood full of countless Bath & Body Works trips where I couldn't leave the store without smelling nearly everything in it, it was solidified that scent would forever be something that captured my interest and provoked intrigue. Over the last few years, I dove headfirst into the world of niche fragrance in search of more creative scents with stories and clear inspiration. I'm happy to report that I have found an abundance of them and that has led us here: creating Pomelo Perfumery to make niche and indie fragrance brands accessible, approachable, and fun for everyone.
When I'm not sitting in front of my perfume shelf to sniff my collection, I'm probably calling my precious cat, Jelly, some form of pet name I made up on the spot, having a worldly chat with a stranger, or doing something involving music (my other passion).

What's the difference between designer perfume and niche perfume?
Designer perfumes typically smell nice to many as they are designed to be mass appealing. Niche perfumes don't necessarily aim to be mass appealing, meaning they can indulge in storytelling and be based on memories of people, places, things, or experiences. The world of niche and indie perfume is full of whimsy, distinction, and creativity, and can be where you find something that feels exactly like you.
Can I make my perfume last longer?
Yes! Fragrance typically lasts longer on clothes, so we recommend spraying on clothes in addition to your skin. Applying perfume to moisturized skin can also help it last longer.
Do you sell cologne/men's fragrances?
We believe that scent is genderless, meaning the only thing that ties a scent to a specific person is whether or not they like it. The selection of perfumes and candles we carry is curated to cover a wide array of scent profiles so that we have something for most people to fall in love with.
Do you use AI?
No, and we never will. This website was written and created entirely by Sarah without the use of generative AI or any language modeling system. Additionally, our amazing logo was created by Edgar Manukiani.
What is your return policy?
